Welcome to the Early Childhood Education and Care online course

This course has been developed by Charmaine Attard in close collaboration with the School Education Gateway.

This course will:

  • Give you a general view on early childhood pioneers/theorists to allow already early years educators in refreshing the early years background.
  • Give educators with no early years experience or knowledge the opportunity to familiarize themselves with Inquiry-Based Learning and how they can eventually build a stronger learning environment.
  • Encourage early years educators to implement Inquiry-Based Learning in their classrooms to ensure that inclusion is adaptable, flexible and visible also from a young age group.
  • Provide concrete material that can be easily adapted in a 21st century early years classroom.
  • You can follow the course at your own pace. The only deadline you need to pay attention to is for the final peer assessment assignment.
  • To get the most out of the course, you can join the course Facebook group!
  • The language of communication is English.
